Extremophile
Extremophile
Original painting from Erin Brott-Holtzman INHALE/EXHALE series.
“The intense use of complimentary colors in this painting showcase extremes. The sulfuric landscape symbolizes the harsh conditions that exist within our environment but also that we’ve been collectively living in over the past few years. An extremophile is an organism which thrives in these harsh conditions. Its optimal growth happens in environmental conditions that are considered extreme and challenging. I feel like this creature and these types or environments represent the challenging times that we are living in and teach us about how we can adapt.” - Erin Brott-Holtzman
